There is no fee on exchanging big bills into smaller (subject to availability).
Prices are set according to the current currency market prices and are adjusted after our competitors’ prices in order for Tavex to be able to offer the best prices on the market.
We can often arrange large sums of foreign currencies in short notice. We recommend you to contact us to reserve large sums on 22 114 00 20 or kontakt@tavex.pl.
We try always to offer a better rate when exchanging amounts exceeding 1 000 EUR. Do not hesitate to ask for your rate at the counter or at 22 114 00 20. The price offered is valid for one hour unless anything else is indicated.
All currencies are free of any fees.
We buy at rates lower than standard EUR coins (-15%) and GBP coins (-25%). We purchase coins of other currencies available in the offer at a rate of -50% of the standard purchase price.
We are not able to buy/sell currencies that are not a part of our stock.

DELIVERY
When placing an order through our online shop, you can choose to have the products delivered to the indicated address or to collect them in person at one of our offices in Poland.
1. Delivery by courier: after we have received your payment, the products will be dispatched within 24-48 hours. Delivery time is within 1 to 3 working days.
2. Self pick-up: you are welcome to come and collect your products at one of our offices the same day we notify you that we have received your payment. You need to bring a valid ID to collect the products.
INSURANCE
The package is insured and in the extremely unlikely case that the package is lost or damaged, Tavex Sp. z o.o. will re-ship the items or refund your money. The insurance only applies whilst the products are in transit and ceases to be valid once the shipping carrier obtains the recipient’s signature.
PACKAGING
The products are encased in protective wrapping and placed in a discreet, unbranded padded package.
SHIPMENT TRACKING
Once the products have been packaged, the tracking number is sent to your email address. On the Pocztex and InPost websites, you use tracking tool together with the tracking number you received and follow the shipping process of your order.
DELAYS
Should a delivery delay occur or if the ordered product is out of stock, Tavex will contact you by email to give you details about the delivery.

INVESTMENT GOLD, SILVER PRODUCTS
Clients at Tavex can purchase gold and silver products either by placing an order through our online shop, or by visiting one of our offices where the desired products can be purchased over the counter. Take into consideration that the client, the payer and the recipient must be the same person. This applies both to purchases in our online shop and in our offices.
PAYING AN ONLINE ORDER
Tavex accepts bank wire transfers and credit card payments serviced by Dotpay for online purchases.
A. Invoice: Once you have placed an order through Tavex’s online shop, an invoice containing the payment details will be sent automatically to the email address that you provided during the checkout process. When making a bank wire transfer to Tavex, the funds should be sent to the following bank account:

When making the bank transfer, always refer to the invoice number and if the full invoice number does not fit, omit the country code and the hyphens and write in only the numbers. For example if “DK-24122014-1″ does not fit the reference line, omit the country code (DK) and the hyphens, and fill in instead only the numbers like this: “241220141”.
B. Clearing of the funds: The clearing of your payment may take 1-3 business days, depending on whom you bank with.
C. Transfer limits and fees: There is no maximum or minimum limit nor is there any fees when transferring funds to Tavex Sp. z o.o. via bank wire transfer.
D. Payment in different currencies: If you wish to pay the invoice in EUR, USD or GBP, please contact us on +48 22 114 00 20.
E. Documentation: For purchases over EUR 15,000 (equivalent in PLN), we are required to ask you for a valid ID and documentation regarding the origin of the money.

As fine gold coins and bars are extremely soft, they can very easily be damaged. Product’s value is decreased when gold is scratched, bent or the original package has been opened.
Here are some suggestions on how to properly handle gold coins to avoid damage and loss of value.
Fingerprints cannot be removed from the mirror surface. Be aware that even the finest cloth makes small tiny scratches on the surface of a coin.
When removing coins from a holder is necessary, place them on a clean, soft surface. A velvet pad is an ideal surface. A clean soft cloth or clean piece of blank paper may be sufficient for harder coins (coins with gold proof 900-917).
PS! The above applies mainly to new gold coins and bars. Many historical gold coins have been in circulation and are therefore scratched and nicked. Gold market value has preserved in spite of that.

2. CHECK YOUR CART
The shopping cart provides you with an overview of the total value of your order and enables you to easily add to or take away the products you have previously chosen. Once you feel ready to finalise your order, just click the “Checkout” button that is visible at the bottom right of your shopping cart window.
3. CHECKOUT
In the checkout window, we ask you to select a delivery option (self pick-up or insured mail), and to fill in the required personal information either as a member or as a guest. Review that you have filled in all the details correctly and thereafter click the “Order” button that is visible at the bottom right of your checkout window.
4. CONFIRMATION
Your order is now placed and an invoice containing the payment details and the instructions on how to transfer the funds is automatically sent to the email address you provided during the checkout.
5. MAKE PAYMENT
Make the payment by bank wire transfer. The clearing of your funds may take 1-3 business days depending on your bank. We will always notify you by email when we have received your payment.
6. TAKE DELIVERY OF YOUR PRODUCTS
Depending on the delivery option you selected during checkout, the products are delivered to you by insured mail, or will be waiting for you to personally pick them up at our office.
Buy Over the Counter from Tavex
Just walk into one of our 7 offices in Poland and buy over the counter. For purchases over the counter, Tavex accepts cash.
A fine weight is the gold content of a coin, for example a Krugerrand weighs 33.93 grams and the fine weight is 31.1 gram pure gold.
A troy ounce is a weight unit that gold is measured in and one troy ounce is 31.1 grams.
We work mostly with uncirculated gold bars and they are always sold with certificates (CertiPack). Most coins are sold without any certificates.
A “spread” is the difference between the asking and bidding prices and is measured in percent.
Investment gold has been sold without VAT since the first of January 2000 within the EU. Silver still has 23% VAT in Poland.
Tavex is a serious market player and therefore we consider that it is very important not to sell products we do not have in stock. The customer is always guaranteed its products for immediate delivery.
Every product in our stock is globally viable and very popular worldwide. The products best suitable for investment are 100-gram bars and one ounce coins. The bars are cheaper (per gram) than the coins but you get usually better paid for your coins (per gram).

The products with the stock status “arrival unknown” are not possible to order on your own in the web shop. We recommend you to contact us on +48 22 114 00 20 or kontakt@tavex.pl about a possible order.
Your order is usually shipped the same day or next work day after we have received your payment. Orders will arrive at your address the day after and if you choose to pick up your order in our store you can do it the same day as we get your payment. In cases when we are unable to send your order right away, we always inform you about the time delay.
All the prices in the order are fixed as long as you pay your order in one hour. We accept the time delay for transfers between different banks.

The orderer, the payer and the recipient must be the same person, whether you pay by bank transfer or a debit card / credit card.
Bank transfers to Tavex accounts have no other costs other than those found in the invoice (products and possible shipping costs). There are no hidden fees when purchasing gold in our store if you pay with cash or by bank transfer.

After placing your order, an invoice will be sent to the email address you have provided. The invoice has the invoice number, the sum and several different accounts you can send your payment to. Please refer to the invoice number when making the payment. The price is valid if the total amount is paid in one hour from the moment the order has been maid. We are aware of and accept the time delay for transfers between different banks.
